Conversations with Caroline

Caroline: Mommy, what you got?!
Me: Yogurt with blueberries. Do you want some?
Caroline: No, no. I had 'nuff yogurt.

Random Videos

So apparently today is "catch up" day for the blog. I'm sorry I got behind! Blame it on the newborn and lack of sleep :-) Here are a couple of random videos I found on the camera. The first is when Caroline was about to go to school at the beginning of October(and was still a little apprehensive about it). The second was playing at Aunt Roz's house Halloween day.

Conversations with Caroline

This one is from a few days ago, and even has a picture. Right after we took this picture, Caroline "passed gas." The following conversation commenced:

Abuelita: "Caroline, you farted! hahahaha"
Caroline: "No say fart Lita. That's a bad word!"

Good girl! You are learning :-)

This can NOT be comfortable...

I so badly want to go over and straighten his head, but I don't want to risk waking him up. And every time I actually do straighten it, he just flops it back over. Thankfully, he doesn't do this all the time. Just about twice a day.

Caroline on the run...

I wanted to snap a quick picture of Caroline on her way to school yesterday; however, I couldn't get her to sit still. She was ready to go! Here is the best one I got...

Jacob's First Bath

Halloween

Halloween was a bit of a whirlwind this year because Jacob was born just a few days before. However, we still had a great time (though I'm sure you can tell Caroline was exhausted in these pictures).

Here are a couple of pictures from before we went trick-or-treating (note how tired Caroline looks)...

And here are a couple of pictures of Caroline and Daddy both carving their first pumpkin...

Jacob - We fully intended to dress you in the same pumpkin outfit that your big sister worn on her first Halloween; however, it didn't happen. Forgive us! (Or thank us...not sure which you will prefer.)

First "Family of Four" Photo

Gigi sent me this photo of all of us at the hospital the day after Jacob was born. It's our first official photo as a family of four. :-)

Sweet Siblings

The day after Jacob came home, Caroline asked to "hold" him. Fortunately, we were able to get shots of the whole thing. They just melt my heart! And now Caroline asks to "hold" him all the time.

Caroline - You are such a good big sister. You love to "help" me by fetching diapers and cream and anything else you think Jacob may night. You're also very good at alerting me whenever you think he needs something. Ex: "Jacob need burp Mommy." "Oh NOOO!! Jacob is crying!!!"

Jacob - So far, you are a very "chill" little baby. You rarely cry and enjoy taking in your surroundings. Mostly, you do a LOT of sleeping though. Let's hope this trend continues. :-)

Conversations with Caroline

This was right as we were leaving from the AT&T store (after buying my new Iphone - read "push present" from Daddy) last week. I had just realized that I had Caroline's sippy cup in my bag and we had not left it in the store. I was trying to get Gabe's attention to tell him that he didn't need to go in a look for it.

Me: Gabe! I found it!
Caroline: No, no Mommy. No say Gabe. That's a bad word. Say Daddy.

Note: I tell Caroline that "butt" is a bad word (and a few other four letter words that I don't care to type). And I've told her not to call us "Resha" or "Gabe." I guess she decided to put the two together.

A Visit from the Fourth Generation

My Grandmother (Caroline and Jacob's great-grandmother) from my father's side is the only living grandparent I have. She came down from Tennessee to meet Jacob and visit Caroline this weekend. Here are a few pictures from our breakfast at Aunt Roz' house yesterday.

Caroline and PawPaw playing...

A huge difference between the two: Caroline hated the carseat with a passion. It didn't seem to bother Jacob (though only time will really tell).

Playing with Uncle Stu. As soon as she got into this position, she said, "Uncle Stu, what you doin'?!"
