Caroline and Alexa

Caroline and her little cousin Alexa always have fun together. The two of them play so sweetly, and both are thrilled whenever we tell them they get to see each other. Here is a really cute picture of the two at Aidan's birthday party last weekend (special thanks to Gabe for taking it while I was at work).



Update: I just noticed she is wearing the same outfit that she wore in the school picture I took. So sue me. I like that outfit. A lot. :-P

Second Week of School

Caroline and Jake started "school" on the 7th, but it was pouring rain and pictures just weren't possible that day. Here they are on the first day of week two. (Caroline - I don't know why you have decided to strike a pose every time I take a picture now, but it sure is funny.)

Conversations with Caroline

While walking through the door a few minutes ago...

Me: Caroline, can you shut the door please?
Caroline: Okay, 'cause you said please.

Conversations with Caroline

While putting on your jammies tonight:

Caroline: "Okay, okay. Now go in there (pointing to the living room).
Me: "Do you want some help?"
Caroline: "No. I need to practice."

I then went into the living room, and after a few minutes, you ran in. You jumped up and down, threw your arms in there air and proclaimed, "Ta Da!"

Note to Jake: I think you said your second word today. You looked at the dogs several times, said "Da" and crawled over to pat them. You did it more than once, which makes me think it was on purpose.
